Alexander Glosenberg

Alexander (Alex) Glosenberg is an Assistant Professor of Entrepreneurship at Loyola Marymount University (LMU) in Los Angeles. He concentrates his research and advocacy on approaches to assisting marginalized populations, especially entrepreneurs, at work through the use of psychological tools and theories. In particular, Alex is interested in how to help enhance an entrepreneurial mindset through training and coaching/mentorship. He has worked with a broad variety of entrepreneurs from North Korean refugees to entrepreneurs living in the townships of South Africa. Alex has helped to lead LMU's ASCEND Los Angeles program that serves women and BIPOC entrepreneurs in the region. Alex has also consulted with a variety of organizations from the White House's Social and Behavioral Sciences Team to Greenpeace International, the United Nations Development Programme, and the Ministry of Transportation in the People's Republic of China. He is an industrial-organizational psychologist by training with a Ph.D. from North Carolina State University. Alex has published in a variety of peer-reviewed outlets including the Journal of Vocational Behavior, Sex Roles, the Journal of Career Assessment, the Journal of Business Venturing Insights, and Scientific Reports. In 2022, Alex was awarded the Society for Industrial-Organizational Psychology's Joel Lefkowitz Early Career Award for Humanistic Industrial-Organizational Psychology.
